Fast Lane Machine Stampede questions. - 06.14.2006, 01:45 PM

So I'm looking at getting a couple FLM Stampede chassis setups.

I have the following questions:

1. I know the extended arms make it so you have to use the stock plastic sliders for axels. How well does this work? I've seen that these may need to be replaced every few runs, especially on brushless.

2. Do the standard length arms accomodate normal backspacing on the wheels or do they require that you use the goofy Traxxas wheels to keep the front and the back on the same line?

3. Does the FLM transmission case have a cover that fits it? Or is the thought that you just run the gears exposed. Like with Gorilla Max stuff.

4. I've heard a rumor of prototype cvd's for the exteneded FLM arms over on the RCBro's forum. Anyone else know more about these?

5. I see that there is a steel diff available and with the alluminum idler for the tranny, my questions is how does it hold up with the plastic top gear? Or should the steel top gear be left in and the whole works greased to bejesus and back?

6. With the extended chassis kit, (lenght) what bodies are available to fit?

Thanks in advance.

- Hal
