If they could really cause the obsoleting of batteries, that would be a real feat

Like most new high-tech innovation it will be years before we see it at the mainstream consumer level.

true but if its safer than Lipo's, it will be easier to assimilate into the current products

I agree.
It just sounds like it's still very early in the developement/proving stages.
I'm sure we'll see laptop & cellphone batteries long before something RC compatible.......or maybe we'll be strapping HP Laptop batteries on our monster trucks??? LOL!
