I'll be trying mine out on 6s in a losi 8ight buggy. My buggy is 7lbs .5oz ready to run with the Mamba monster esc in it, if figure with the Mamba pro it will be under 7lbs.

ok....of course if you are using the ccbec the load is going to be on it and not the esc??? From my understanding, the ccbec is basically the same thing in the Mmonster except it handles more amps...

I've seen 3 vehicles do the same thing, it's usually the switch. I would direct wire it first and see if that corrects your problem.

Yeah it's a little wider as you've found out, I would just run the steel spur since the only real reason for the plastic is for noise, and you'll find out the tekno clutch sounds really terrible:oops:
