42mm motors makes this far more viable (assuming you can do something with the batteries). Plus, no tape shims!

To my knowledge, the LST has never had a CD option. The parts they have you replace are (from what I read) a slight gearing tweak to work better with BL power. I'm not sure if there's enough room in the trans case to even mount a standard 1/8 size diff.
