Lets see, had a losi xxx-t bl truck that died about 2 mins in to the first run. Had a few ss escs mysteriously drop a few fets and cogg terribly. My crawler esc does not work properly, no drag brake and weird reverse issues. I have had good success with the 2 gtb escs I have, although a friend had issues with his. Novak fans lose blades quite easily. I have not owned a hv esc, just cannot bear to part with that kind of cash for something so poor...

Novak service was decent, around 2 weeks to get replacements. Many people will mod the hv escs to handle a single pack (short sighted by novak to assue 2 packs would be used). And the internal bec cannot be used with a single pack.

I have had better luck with CC products. I have only smoked one MM and that was trying to run it with a 7xl, geared for 55mph. Worked fine till I got a rock stuck in the spur and over drawed the esc till the solder melted...

Have a v1 MMM that has 6+ hours on it and still working. I have 2 v2 MMM that I will be testing too.

Just trying to say that every company/product has issues. Plus the novak hv setup is very gearing sensitive, and not powerful enough to push a MT or truggy fast. Will work fine with a buggy, and the new hv pro is a step in the right direction. Not going to compare to a 1515 1Y and a MMM. The novak will run with maxamps packs though

I think one of the issues Novak faces is that so called "newbies" see comments like this posted all over the place, and assume that the HV systems are slow, and therefor purchase something else. Then you get the one or two people who actually purchase one, use it, and post that it runs great. They inevitably get flaming arrows shot at them for stating such an atrosity, since "everyone knows the HV is slow". I would have to guess that there are in fact more HV systems in MT's than any other one product, and yet you see so little posted about actual problems with them (very little here, a few more over on the Traxxas board). The only place you can use more power is on long straighter runs - on a track, anything more than an HV is wasted power to the general brushless driver. I am struggling with getting my Revo (and the driver!) to be able to use the power it has.

Losi 8T 1.0, Savage Flux - XL style, LST XXL, Muggy, 3.3 E-Revo Conversion and sitting outside 425hp, 831 Tq Dodge Ram Turbo Diesel. It SMOKES
