When the HV system came out, it had its fair share of issues as well. When they started with the 4.5, when used with lipo is was melting controllers left and right. Until novak ironed out the kinks, they had remanufactured units availble in their site constantly. My issue with the novak is not so much power as it is expensive for what you get and way behind the times. I mean they just got a built in LVC, the programming is still minimal, and the performance is only marginal.

I have also melted two Novak brushed ESC's set up well withing spec and it took near two months both times to get them replaced.

Nobody is impervious to failure and I think linc's analogy of the underware is spot on pun intended!
