So I have a Tekno Slayer conversion a Slayer a MMM v2 a Motor now do I need a servo Y harness or a center diff conversion ?but the specs say on the Slayer that it has a forward only trans.Long story short is I want to go with a pinion and no clutch and use the MMM brakes. But on the otherhand the instructions for the conversion says I need a y servo harness when using the clutch setup.I have converted 2 1/8 buggies and a Losi 8T truggy those I have a good working knowledge of what to do but with the traxxas Slayer and 2 speed I need some guidance.Do I need RCM Motor mount?

I finshed the roller today, as I had to build mine from parts it took a few hours. Looks cool, that is for sure. I have a set of white ofna 5 spoke buggy wheels and some badlands on it, they look good with the black, red and white body off my slash.

Should have the electronics in it tomorrow, as long as I have time...

Final setup is a hacker c50 13l, quark 125b, ccbec, and a poly rc 3700 5s 25c lipo. Going to gear it for 45mph which should be 20/36 gearing. I am using a revo tranny locked in 2nd with the wide ratio 2nd gear. I understand the slayer has specific internal ratios to suit the smaller tires, I will just use a big pinion to compensate.

Why thank you, tiny kitty. That is a very cute kitty. Any reason you have that as your avatar pic? Or am I missing some sort of joke?

If you plan to use motor brakes you will have to lock the 2 speed in 2nd gear. There is a sticky in the brushless section by BrianG that will show you how to do it.

The FOC kit that the slay comes with is also needed, which is good since you already have it.

It's *supposed* to be looking at my name, with it's ears back it's thinking "BL_RV0 is god..." Or maybe I'm missing something...?

Have to spend the day with the wife, mandatory FQT...

I will get some time on it soon. If anyone was wondering why I have a pede rear shock tower bolted on, it is cause I am using a slash body, and the rear area of the body is different to the slayer body. It is sloped where it would have to be flat to use the revo rear body mount. Turns out that the pede rear body mount fit perfectly, even after I cut the new front body mount holes!!! Pure luck...

Looking good!

Hopefully you have better handling luck then I have. I’m already down the road of full swaybars, changed spring out, etc, I hope that does the trick. Also as an FYI; the stock Slayer tranny comes with the “wide-ratio – 38/18” gear set as standard. So combined with the 36t spur and you’ll be running stock gearing.

What kv is a 13L? I’m guessing somewhere between 11L~14L puts it around 1950kv? On 5s you’ll be turning about 600rpm more then me and combined with 20t spur = you’ll be flying! My Slayer was uncontrollable geared for slower then this. I wish you luck and look forward to your feedback about this rig.

Give her your non-rc credit card, and a catalog to a fancy clothing store. Also fill up her car with gas. I don't think it'd be too hard to get yourself out of something like that!

I am running a revo tranny with the wide ratio 2nd gear. The slayer has a different tranny case and the last two gears in it are different to the revo's. It has less reduction in the tranny to make up for the smaller tires. That is why I went with the 20/36 gearing, should give me top speed in the low 40mph range. The Hacker is somewhere around 2000kv.

From my limited tests in my office it has tons of power!! Easy wheelies and flips on carpet!
