I would say that it will be too big, and way too much power. IIRC the spurs are .5 mod, and 48 pitch METRIC pinions will fit the 1/8 shaft on that motor. The diameter of the motor is most likely too big, and you gearing choices will be limited.

Actually, the RC18x series uses standard 48P, not 48P metric like the DTX vehicles.
