Not for me it won't.

I want something more Something that I will not have to worry about when driving, for example, the esc plopping on the ground beside the truck after a bad landing. Besides, what do I have to do until the MMM combo gets sent to me? NOTHING... It is too cold for my nitro (or me) to go out here lately.

I dont really see this as being an issue. If you do have a fire, by the time you get the body off, AND find a pair of gloves, its all toast already. What part of the ESC are you going to reach those soft little pink digits into and grab to get it off??? I've made the mistake of grabbing something burning ONCE....not going to do it again....I hope....!

Nice looking mount Brett, but I would like it to be a quick release, but that's me.
The o-rings I use are industrial strength, can take heat up to 500deg..if it ever does fail it will be a 50cent replacement.. I'm currently working on my HB D8 buggy so no time for the revo..but I did design a new MMM mount, similar concept but refined..

Yeah, I am sure that the O-ring is strong, just I myself do not trust it. It is like a paranoid kind of thing I guess. I do like your design though and thought about something on those lines, but ended up coming up with a complete new design.

Update. - 12.10.2008, 06:47 PM

Thought I would post an update. The battery wire configuration will more then likely change to clean it up a bit, but will work for the time being. I can not do any set-up of the MMM on my computer yet because the castle link CD was missing. The customer service was great and I should have it in a day or two. It was fine anyway as it will be a day or two for the batteries as well.

This system as a whole looks great! The motor is big and a great color of green, even though it does not match anything else on the truck. I can't wait until I get this thing running!

Looks good dude. For your wiring, I would suggest rotating the motor 90 degrees to the left (looking at the 2nd to last picture), so you can have a nice short wiring run from the motor to the esc, then have the power wires coming out of the esc and tucking inbetween the esc and motor maybe if theres enough room in there.

Yea, I will probable do that and shorten the wires to the motor. The battery wires will not fit between the motor and mount, there is not much extra room there, lol. I will figure something out though.

That custom AL mount is awesome! I need one for my G3R!

Anybody have a part number for the plastic Traxxas MMM mount?
