Any progress? I tried to make something for mine but didn't have much success. I stripped teeth off of two spur gears. So back to the drawing board I guess. I had a little too much movement in the spur gear, when the gears hooked up it was wicked fast though. It wheelied right over on its lid.

Haha, maybe I could sell some of them. You need to do some work to get them installed though..

I dunno, haven't been in touch with Mike. I don't want to ply these mounts to Mike, if he is interested im sure he will contact to me.. But like I said Im quite sure that Mike isn't interested about doing mounts for gen/nem/gst trucks. Sales would be kinda marginal.. Or what do you guys think?

Have been quite busy lately and I have some hospital visits this week so we'll see when I can continue this. Hopefully end of this week. I have all necessary tools now (drill bits and m4 tap) so what I need is time

Well mine is alive, but I'm not so sure I like the noise coming from the gears upon acceleration from a dead stop. It quiets down once moving but it makes a heck of a lot of noise when starting. I checked the gear mesh and all seams well. I used a piece of of packaging board, the type used at the top of the bags your small parts come in to set the mesh.

Nice work 93firebird. Yeah metal spur and pinion will be a little noisy. Are you running 6s with 2200 kv? What center diff?

Are you sure that your system isn't cogging at the startup? It would explain the rough noise.

Sry guys, have to admit that my projects haven't gone any further. Still looking some extra time. Since now weather has cleared up in here cold cold Finland my other hobby has started to taking my little time

There's my DH bicycle

I took the truck to my LHS and they said the noise was normal cogging. So I am running with it. I am using a 4s 4000mah lipo for now. the diff is the center diff from the stock genesis tranny with the mxs24 which I think is from the matrix. It's a cnc steel gear with 46t. I am now running a 21t pinion instead of the 19t which seems to have helped with the cogging noise a little. I had to use a die grinder and notch the motor shaft as I couldnt seem to hold on to the pinion gear, it kept flying off even with lock tight. My mounts don't look the greatest but they are functional. Not bad for a saws all and die grinder. Maybe some day my wife will let me get a miter box with a cutoff wheel on it and the cuts can be a little straighter.

Well my Genesis cooked my MMM, I don't know if it was too much gearing or what. I was using a 19t pinion on a 46t spur and a 4s lipo it went up in flames and melted the case as well as one of the motor connectors on the esc.

What motor did you run? With that setup you should use something like 1100kv motor and still got speed up to 50mph. Very tall gearing imo.
Remember that the Gens diff ratios are pretty tall 26/9 so no need to gear high from the pinion, because the diffs are doing it.
