As linc said the 3905 diffs are pretty good with decent driving and appropriate tires. There are reports of problems but the majority of them are some combination of wrong gearing, big tires and bad drivings skills. The 3906 is a different story.

Oh, and yes most 1/8 scale front buggy shocks will fit.

never had problems with my 3906 diffs...

but the driveshafts on the 3905 are twice the size they were on my 3606


off to find some buggy shocks...
