Can you tell us which are deltas and wye's?
Can we match them up to neu's and figure it out?

People here hate Nitro, I love it. I start it, run it about 50 ft from me and it dies, I go after it. Perfect exercise

honestly, i like Delta winds better. My Novak ss5800 has a wye wind, my fegaio motors have a delta wind, my neu 1515/2.5d is a delta, I had a neu 1107 2y. Out of all of them, I just prefer the feel of the delta motor types. I'd want to try both on tekin's motors, but would like to know which is which. For instance, I'm sure the 2250KV Motor is a 1y (similar to castle/neu) I'm sure the 1700 truggy will be a 2.5d, which would almost make the 1300 a 2y, the 1500 a 3d and the 2000 a 2d

For Buggy:
1900 is a 1.5 wye
1400 is a 2 wye
Truggy:
2250 1 wye
2000 1 wye
1550 1.5 wye

Thanks, but how can the 2000 and the 2250 be the same wind? Is there a difference in the stack to allow for the kv difference?
BTW thanks for answering all these quetions

I believe the 2000kv truggy should be a 2D.
stormer actually has y or d listed next to each rpm motor.
Kyosho SC, tekin rs, D3 17.5
Hyper 9e, mmp,tekin 1900kv
Associated sc10 4x4, novak 4.5

I think thats a mistake and the 2000kv is a 2D. The neu 2D motors have slightly less kv than the neu 1y motors, which is how I can tell.
The advantage of y winds is that you can vary the timing for positive results, which you can't do with d winds and wye winds are supposedly slightly more effcient than d winds. For obvious reasons, d winds allow for more kv options, but someone please tell me if there really is a powerband difference between y and d? Comparing a y vs. d of similar kv, does one have more bottom end or more midrange power?
Also, for those of you who have had tried both y and d winds, its only fair if they are of the same motor series. Feigao motors are sure to have a different powerband from these tekin and neu motors not because they are delta or wye wound, but because feigaos are slottless and tekin/neu are slotted.

If I had to guess I'd say "D" stands for delta and "Y" stands for.. star?
It would be just how the winds are hooked up.

Thats right. both types have current going through two coil phases in series, but d winds also have current going through the third coil, in parallel with the other two coils.
