So what's your CA glue story?

Had a tiny drop splash on my lip one time. Lips were stuck together only for a few minutes but still sucked. Glad it wasn't a lot more, I'd ben drinking beer through a straw.

Got my fingers glued together quite well once, managed to prize them apart though. Also have numerous little hard spots on my jogging bottoms where CA drops have landed and cured- no violent reaction thankfully..

I only had one mishap with CA glue, my index stuck to my middle finger. A little surgery with the hobby knife and they were apart. No blood, I just went slowly and separated the fingers without hurting myself. Now I had this crust of cured CA on my fingers so a little time with the belt sander took care of that. I had more bad luck in the past with hobby knives, Carbide bits on the Dremel or an 11 inch propeller spinning at 11 000 RPM on a .40 RC airplane.

I was glueing tires . when i knocked over the bottle of ca & glued my calf to my thigh & my foot to my work bench all at the same time .

I doubt anyone will better Harolds story, but I worked with "colleagues" who back in the day thought that any tools you may pickup in the normal course of your job were wanting a thin wipe of CA

This was always used to great effect on apprentices/trainees as in..."here, you hold this & don't let go unless I say" or "carry this to XXX job" etc etc

It happened to me once but acetylene bombs offset the enthusiasm of co-workers...as does dog crap under the door handles of their car. Ahhh, those were the days

Well, when your johnson is bleeding profusely your cognitive reckoning isn't quite what it should be, and for that matter your usually skilled and trained hands aren't as stable as they normally are.

I cleaned the area well and knew just a drop would do, but I was nervous. One drop turned into a few, and just a little on the affected area turned into alot there, and on my fingers.

Now, the bleeding had stopped, but I had three fingers and two thumbs permanently attached to my unit. Not bad all in all, but highly impracticle.

At the time I didn't know there were releasing agents for super glue. All I was left with was thinking, "penis or fingers, somethings losing skin".

So, one at a time, I ripped digits from my crank. 3 of the digits lost skin, but 2 brought skin with them. Luckily, no more blood was shed, but I wasn't the same for over a week.

Never use power tools naked.

Holy jeebus...


THAT is why I check the e-net LOL.

I'm not sure how a person breaks a bed when they are naked...Other than hiding the pig in the barn...

I had a bottle of CA on an upper shelf with the cap off , had my hand flat on the table, kicked the table slightly, CA came pouring down the shelf so quickly that all of it fell on my hand and glued my hand completely to the workbench. And no one was home when this happened. I used an exacto knife to get my hand unstuck, but it took 2 hours and I lost alot of skin.

I never actually glued anything to myself. I did glue up a pair of tires a few weeks ago and set them to dry. Well apparently there was a little excess on the rims and the two tires ended up stuck together. I acetoned them to get them apart but the tires got hard.

Oh well time to mount another pair on those wheels.

Just for "fun" (out of sheer boredom) one day, I filled a metal soda bottle cap with CA. Attached the cap to the (-) terminal of my 12Kv supply and held the (+) terminal in my fingers above the cap full of CA. When I turned the power on, in about 2 seconds it looked like my fingers were covered in fiberglass insulation... Apparently CA conducts electricity pretty well, and it had flew out of the cap in cotton candy-like strands and stuck to my fingers.
