350z looks better but 370z is not afrad of an evo

agreed... i got to drive a friends new 370, and holy crap its quicker than my 350. nissan really nailed it with the new version. of course it has more to it.... stock 330hp (i think?) compared to my ~300hp, but still.... any Z is one heck of a value for what you're getting! i get an ear to ear smile every time i drive it. it can always be faster...but i've learned to be happy with what i have.

To 135 or so the Z has about 5 gears, the Viper has 3. You could see once the Z hit 6th and the Viper hit 4th, it quickly started running the Z down (but the race ended soon after).

Vipers are not particularly fast despite having mountain-moving torque and monstrous HP figures. The reason is that they are geared to the moon. I mean, they are still fast, but they lose a lot because the gearing is just so tall. So to 100mph, they aren't exactly blistering. But the point is that they do not slow down much. They pull hard all the way up to 175+

wow, this has veered off in standard RC-M fashion... 4g63t, i will not be racing anyone. sure the car is quick, but it is certainly not fast and it is my daily so it will remain stock

I have to disagree on the statement that Vipers do not handle very well. I have driven a few, some stock and some modded and they could take the turns well. Ride was a bit rough, but no worse than a Z is on Louisiana roads (imagine the worst road you have ever been on, that is our best). The venom vipers did handle a bit better than stock, even though I was "tail out" round most turns, hehehe... I used to enjoy drifting the viper in the parking lots the rice kids would hang out in, lets see a fwd civic do that!

I will say that the viper was much more entertaining to drive than the Z, but also cost twice as much so I guess it should be. I did prefer the 3rd gen rx7 for handling over both, but it is a small car that the weight balance has been optimized in. I like most cars as well, they are all fun in their own way. I have to say I prefer a big supercharged V8, can't match the sound or torque with anything else. The viper just sounds weird at full tilt... 10 cylinders...

I had a 95 FD on JIC Magic coilovers, racing beat sways and strut braces with a cusco LSD, lots of go fast things too, but we are talking about handling here.

It is hands down the best handling car I have ever driven. It was a little weak on the bottom end, but 1.3 liters with a single t88 tends to be a bit weak below say 6k rpm.....

The 20b is cool albeit overkill. it makes more torque low down though. Lag is an understatement, with out nitrous it took 6400 rpm to hit full boost. on the bottle (150 shot) I was full boost by 4800 rpm with a 5k cutoff for the nitrous.
